The documentary covers some popular board games that and looks at what makes them so popular working as a guide to new board game developers to see what in the industry works and what players want to see from new board games.

To give you an idea of how big board games still are, we are shown the largest board game convention in Germany and we can see many people gathered around to choose from a massive range of board games to play and to even play competitively in tournaments against others.
